Gia Thompson, M.Ed., is a dedicated leader and advocate with over two decades of experience driving meaningful change across various sectors, including education, corporate, government, private, public, and service-driven industries. Her passion for teaching and helping others began early–long before she received any formal training. She has always been an educator at heart—leading, guiding, and empowering those around her. This natural calling to teach evolved into a successful career in customer service, education, human resources, treasury, and finance, where she’s helped organizations improve operations and build strong, thriving teams.
As a problem-solving leader, Gia specializes in areas such as process optimization, group training, individual coaching, audit counseling, and project management. She is a skilled relationship builder, known for fostering trust and collaboration among company leaders, employees, contractors, and vendors. Her work is grounded in a servant leadership philosophy, where she strives to put others' needs first and empower them to achieve their full potential.
Always an advocate for children and those in need, Gia is driven by a deep desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. She is committed to serving in mission-driven environments that align with her values, and her work reflects her passion for creating opportunities for growth and development for underserved communities. Her role as Chief of Staff to the CEO at Abide Women’s Health Services represents the fulfillment of a personal and professional mission. At Abide, Gia champions maternal and child health, providing critical support to the CEO and staff while spearheading innovative solutions to ensure the organization’s growth and impact. “Caring for mamas and babies” is not just her role—it’s her calling, and she is dedicated to improving birth outcomes for women and children in underserved communities.
Gia holds a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in Reading from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Benedict College. Beyond her professional career, Gia is a devoted mother to her daughter, a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, and a passionate advocate for children. She strives to give back to her community and is a mentor and role model to those in need, demonstrating her commitment to helping others grow and succeed.
